Overall:
Superb! For such a simple recipe of just six ingredients (seven if you include the base spirit), there's so much complexity and nuance. Great quality botanicals.

Aroma:
Marjoram and floral with a little sweetness before water. Opens nicely once louched, much fuller. Sweet marjoram and floral, minty wormwood. Herbal and clean, but not soapy. Smells like a handful of fresh herbs after a light rain.
Appearance:
Forest emerald green before water. Opalescent cloudy mint green with baby blue edges and red lines.
Louche:
Soft pastel baby blue and seafoam green unfold. Nice speed, great trails. Some reds shoot through. It's a little thin, but overall opalescent and fun to watch.
Taste:
Marjoram leads the way, followed by beautifully floral, minty wormwood. The hyssop comes in next with the sweetness of anise and a powdered sugar fennel to round it out. Great balance, medium mouthefeel. This absinthe is a bit more bitter than most, but in a great way. There's a spicy, bitter vortex on the back of the tongue, right before swallowing. Clean and minty without being soapy or toothpasty. The star anise here is very well done, the good flavors of it come through without being sickly sweet candy. The marjoram is playing with my palate, I keep tasting citrusy, lemon balm.
Finish:
Marjoram's back then a big floral, minty wormwood herbal bouquet. Great linger, the anise and marjoram hold on to the side of the tongue allowing you to go minutes between sips and still taste it. The exhale is minty and refreshing.
