Appearance - Attractive yellow. No visible sediment.
Louche - Not quite opalescent, but attractive.
Aroma - oddly fruity and savory
Flavor - classic absinthe notes, but then fruitiness and a savory note from the safran. Strange, but not necessarily in a bad way.
Finish - lingers nicely with anise and vanilla as top notes.
Overall - quite unique. I don't know if I'd drink this on a regular basis, as it's just too far of a departure from the normal flavor profile of traditional absinthe, but there's nothing really wrong with it. Just peculiar to me. Certainly worth a try at least once.
