Edouard Pernod circa 1895

A rare and very early Swiss-made Absinthe Edouard Pernod, distilled in Couvet BEFORE the company opened its second and much larger French facility in Pontarlier in 1897. The level is exceptionally good for an absinthe from this era, nearly an inch higher than one would normally expect, indicative of a cork in excellent condition and as a result extremely well-preserved contents.
