Finn Delice

Overall:
This is the way dessert absinthe should be. This has wonderful, sweet, creamy dessert notes, but still maintains a lot of the floral, edgy, herbaceous characteristics of a verte style absinthe.

Aroma:
Vanilla, galangal, and prickly szechuan peppercorns without water. Vanilla and orange cream with some ginger spice underneath it all.
Appearance:
Golden olive green unlouched. Louches into a honey cream with some faint creamy pastel minty green around the edges.
Louche:
Nice golden, red trails turn into a big honey cream cloud.
Taste:
Lemony citrus cream, prickly minty wormwood, spicy szechuan peppercorn, anise and then the feeling of fennel without the taste. Floral, fruity anise and fennel speak up mid-palate. The galangal is more present on the nose than the taste, but there is a nice warmth to this. Vanilla is present throughout. There's a nice wooodsy pine tree undertone toward the back.
Finish:
Orange creamsicle and the coolness of a peppercorn without the spice. Lingers nicely. There's a comforting gingery warmth and vanilla cream that makes you want another sip. It has a cream soda kind of vibe to it.
