Midsommar's Night Absinthe Verte

Overall:
Like drinking an apple pie that's been heavily seasoned with absinthe's holy trinity. I had to drive two hours to pick up a bottle of this and I'm glad I did!

Aroma:
Warm baking spice, mainly cinnamon, salty licorice candy, and apple cider without water. Once louched this smells like apple pie! It's pleasant, different, warming, and inviting. I'm spending a lot of time with this aroma because it's warm and comforting, and now I'm also getting some fun Dr Pepper notes, and now sweet licorice candy.
Appearance:
Deep forest-emerald green. Deep emerald mint pastel mint with red edges in the light. However the color is mostly uniform.
Louche:
Great colors at first. The first few drops were orange and gold streaks then turned blue-green, and red. It settles as a dense cloud.
Taste:
Warm cinnamon and allspice up front, spicy and pleasantly spiky. The trinity sneaks in, then there's a bit of sweet lemon and mint. Peppery on the sides and in the back. Excellent mouthfeel, nice body. Earthy bitterness hangs out on the back of the tongue, and a coriander like note. Powdered sugar fennel hits intermittently as you swish this around, it's kind of ethereal.
Finish:
Big burst of wormwood to close things out, along with the rest of the trinity, then the baking spices come back leaving a warm sensation on the tongue. Nice sweet licorice-like linger on the sides of the tongue.
