Appearance: Clear, Bright peridot
Aroma: High quality anise and fennel with a nice, fresh wormwood finish
Louche: fully louched by 2:1. At 3:1, wonderfully opalescent with hints of green, yellow, and white
Flavor/Mouthfeel: silky mouthfeel, even at 4:1. Slightly tongue-numbing. Herbaceous and medicinal with enough sweetness so as to not need sugar for anyone other than the most sensitive to bitterness. This is certainly a top notch, high quality brand.
Finish: The herbs linger on the tongue, inviting you to take another sip. A hint of bitterness from the coloring herbs adds another layer of complexity, while the anise and wormwood continue at the forefront.
Overall: I don't hesitate to call this one of the top brands in the country, and it would be hard to argue that it's not a brand that could compete in international competitions as well. Their 100th batch is, in my opinion, their best yet.
